It was a busy day for us the other day. The official road opening for the new road we are building. Quite exciting really and great for the locals.

Jamie has been busy making a couple of staffs for the Colours. I thought the contrast of my body armour and helmet against the colour of the Colours would be rather though provoking! Maybe not!

All the young boys keep reminding me of Reuben! Please tell me he won't grow up to look like the bloke with the spade!

We have been doing some PT recently to counter the effect of Christmas. Here you see us moving boxes of water from one side of camp to the other. It was fun........NOT!

The last few boxes onto the palet, ready for the fork lift to pick up the pallet and move them again.

I rather enjoyed this New Year's Day patrol. We avoided every bridge and so waded through each ditch. We were all really glad that they were irrigating most of the fields we trudged through as the mud, when wet, really sticks to your boots, adding extra weight to each step. Despite this, Still Smiling! The Cup is always half full.
Happy New Year!
Charlie has asked that you don't show this image to Jess!
