Message from AFGHANISTAN.
We have all got ourselves settled in and used to the new way of life, which is hectic and for the moment, hot. All in good spirits despite the enemy. I will uplaod some photos soon. Have yet to spend too much time on ground as there is considerable amount to do just getting processes right in HQ. Hope to spend time with the Coys shortly.
My rowing has started slowly. The target is 1000000 metres. So far I have done 16000 - so a fair way to go. The RSM is ahead of me at the moment. I will catch him up. Amusingly, there is a photo of all my counterparts by a large map, they are all looking very warry in their desert combats. The photo on the wall of me, is one taken some years ago, when I was wearing my Frock Coat. At least I am adding tone!
